Overview

Figure A.1 provides an overview of the multiple sequence gathering methods used in this work to create a nonredundant set of multiple sequences. The main steps are: extracting sequence(s) from PDB coordinate files, searching the sequence database, filtering the hits, multiple sequence alignment and removal of close homologues. This is explained in detail below.
